All stand PROCESSIONAL
THE GREETING
P: The hour comes, and now is when the true worshippers
shall glorify the Father in Spirit and in Truth; for
the Father seeks them to worship Him in the name of
the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Hear what our Lord Jesus Christ said to His followers
of the New Covenant:
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart,
and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is
the first and greatest commandment.
R: Lord, incline our hearts to keep this law.
P: The second is like unto it: You shall love your neighbor
as yourself.
R: Lord, incline our hearts to keep this law.
P: On these two commandments hang all the law and
the prophets.
All sit GENERAL THANKSGIVING
P: Let us give thanks to the Lord.
R: Almighty God, creator of all mercies, we Your
faithful servants do give You our most respectful
and cheerful thanks for all Your goodness and
loving kindness given to us and to all men. We
bless You for our creation, preservation, the natural
wonders surrounding us, and all of the blessings
of this life. We thank You, above all, for Your
priceless love and the redemption of the world by
our Lord Jesus Christ. And we pray You, give us
that due sense of all Your mercies, so that our
hearts may be abundantly thankful, and that we
show forth Your praise, not only with our lips, but
in our lives, by giving ourselves to Your glorious
service, and by walking before You in devotion
and virtue all our days, through Jesus Christ our
Lord, to whom, with You and the Holy Spirit, be all
honour and glory, world without end. Amen.
THE COLLECT FOR PURITY
P: The Lord be with you.
R: And with you also.
P: Let us pray to the Lord asking Him to take away from
us our iniquities.
R: Almighty God, to whom all hearts are open, all
desires known, and from whom no secrets are
hidden, cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the
inspiration of Your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly
love You, and worthily magnify Your holy
name, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
THE GENERAL CONFESSION
P: Beloved in the Lord, the Scripture directs us in many
places to acknowledge our transgressions and harmful
ways. If we say we are innocent of any wrongdoing,
the truth is not in us, for all have strayed and fallen
short of the glory of God. But, we have an
advocate with the Father, our Saviour Jesus Christ. If
we confess our imperfections, He is faithful and just
to forgive us, and cleanses us from all unrighteousness.
Therefore, I pray and urge you, as many as are
present, to accompany me with a pure heart to the
throne of the heavenly grace, saying:
R: Almighty Father, Lord of heaven and earth, we
confess that we have sinned against You, voluntarily
and involuntarily, in thought, word, and
deed; known and unknown; by day and by night.
Have mercy and forgive us all, O God, after Your
great goodness, according to the multitude of
Your mercies, do away with our offenses, and
cleanse us from our transgressions, for Jesus
Christ’s sake. Amen.
THE ABSOLUTION
P: Our Lord Jesus Christ has bestowed power and commandment
to His ministers to declare and pronounce
to those who are truly repentant, absolution and
remission of sin. Therefore, may Jesus Christ absolve
you of your sins in the name of the Father, and of the
Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
KYRIE
P: Lord have mercy
R: Christ have mercy.
P: Lord have mercy
All stand THE LORD’S PRAYER
P: And now, as our Saviour Jesus Christ has taught, let
us pray:
R: Our Father in heaven; Holy be Your name, Your
kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is
in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and
forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.
Do not let us enter into temptation, and deliver us
from evil.
P: Deliver us Lord from all harm, and grant us peace in
our lives. In Your mercy, keep us free from temptation
and protect us from all distress as we wait in joyful
hope for the coming of our saviour, Jesus Christ.
R: For Yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the
glory forever. Amen.
P: Peace to you;
R: And to your spirit.
THE PROFESSION OF FAITH
P: Let us acknowledge our faith as set forth by the
Creed of the Apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ:
R: I believe in God the Father Almighty, creator of
heaven and earth;
I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit,
and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under
Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was
buried.
On the third day He rose from the dead. He
ascended into heaven, and is seated on the right
hand of the Father. He shall come again to judge
the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Church, the
Communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the
Resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
Amen.

be righteous in Your sight through Jesus Christ

peace of soul and with firm conviction that Your
will governs all. In all my deeds and words, guide
my thoughts and feelings. In unforeseen events,
let me not forget that all are set by You. Teach me

reach this hour, forgive me the transgressions I
have committed this day in thought, word, and
deed. Lord, cleanse my humble soul from every
imperfection of flesh and spirit. Grant me, Lord, to
pass this night in peace, to rise from my bed, and
to please Your holy name all the days of my life,
and to vanquish all enemies, both physical and
nonphysical, that struggle against me. Deliver me,
Lord, from the vain thoughts and evil desires that
dishonour me. Amen.

And the wisdom to know the difference.
P: Father, we ask for Your guidance in the exercise of
our free will, a most precious gift.
R: Lord we pray that we properly use our free will,
which, in Your wisdom, You bestowed upon us in
the beginning, and that we use this free will in a
righteous and proper manner that pleases You

and answered by our saviour and mediator, Jesus
Christ our Lord. Amen.

holy oil, which is destined to administer Your Holy

P: Let us pray:
R: I have put my trust in You, O Lord. I said, You are
my God: my life is in Your hands.
(Cleric elevates the bread on the Paten)
P: Even as this broken bread was scattered over the hills,
and when gathered together, became one mass, so let
Your Church be gathered together from the ends of
the earth into Your kingdom, for Yours is the Glory
and the Power through Jesus Christ forever. Amen.
(Cleric pours the water and wine into the chalice, then elevates the
wine while saying:)
We thank You, Our Father, for the holy vine of David,
Your servant, which You made known to us through
Jesus, Your servant. To You be the glory forever-more.
We thank You, Our Father, for the life and the knowledge
which You have made known to us through
Jesus, Your servant. To You be the glory forever-more.
Lord, we ask You to receive us and be pleased with
the sacrifice we offer You with humble and repentant
hearts.
(Cleric washes and dries his hands)
Lord, wash away my iniquity and cleanse me from my sins.
Let no one eat or drink of the Eucharist but they who

said, Give not that which is Holy to the unworthy.
R: Blessed be God forever. Amen.
THE ANAPHORA
P: The Lord be with you.
R: And with your spirit
P: Lift up your hearts.
R: We lift them up to the Lord.
P: Let us give thanks to Our Lord God.
R: It is proper and right to do so.
P: It is very proper, right, holy, and becoming, Lord God
Almighty, to worship You, to give thanks to You, and
praise You without ceasing both day and night, not
only in the Church but in all places of Your dominion.
But chiefly, we are bound to praise You for the life-giving
and heavenly mysteries and all things that You
have done by Your wisdom, and for the true light that
enlightens every man who comes into the world, for
You are above all power and might and principalities
and every name that is named, both in heaven and on
the earth. Therefore, with angels and archangels, and
with all the power of the heavenly host, we laud and
magnify Your Holy Name, Lord, joining with their
perpetual praise, glorifying Your majesty everlasting
and all glorious, self-subsisting, saying:
R: Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God of hosts, heaven and
earth are full of Your glory. Glory be unto You, O
Lord, the most high and heavenly king. Blessed is
he that comes in the name of the Lord.
P: We humbly beseech You, merciful Father, to hear our
prayer and descend from heaven, with Your angels
and archangels, to come among us with Your
almighty goodness, and concede to bless and consecrate
with Your Word and Holy Spirit, these, Your
gifts we offer of bread and wine that receiving them
according to Your Son Our Saviour Jesus Christ’s
holy institution, in remembrance of His death and
passion, we may be partakers of His true blessed
body and blood. Amen.
THE PREPARATION FOR COMMUNION
P: All glory be to You, Almighty God, Our Heavenly
Father, for that You, of Your tender mercy, did give
Your only Son Jesus Christ to suffer death upon the
cross for our redemption, who made there a full, perfect,
and sufficient sacrifice, offering, and atonement,
for the sins of the entire world, and did institute, and
in His Holy Gospel, command us to continue an everlasting
memory of His precious death and sacrifice,
until His coming again.
Elevate bread.
For on the night in which He was betrayed, He took
bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it,
and gave it to His disciples saying, “Take, eat, this is
my body, which is given for you; do this in remembrance
of me.”
(Cleric breaks bread)
Elevate wine.
Likewise, after supper, He took the cup and when He
had given thanks, He gave it to them saying, “Drink
you all of this; for this is my blood of the new testament
which is shed for you and for many, for the
remission of sins. Do this as often as you shall drink
it in remembrance of me.”
Wherefore, Heavenly Father, according to the institution
of Your dearly beloved Son, our Saviour Jesus
Christ, we, Your humble servants, do celebrate and
make here before Your divine majesty with these,
Your Holy Gifts, which we now offer to You, the
memorial Your Son has commanded us to make having
in remembrance His blessed passion and precious
death, His mighty resurrection, and glorious ascension;
rendering to You most hearty thanks for the
innumerable benefits procured to us through Him.
Be pleased to look upon these offerings with a gracious
and kindly countenance, and accept them as it
pleased You to accept the offering of Your just servant,
Able, and the sacrifice of Abraham. And, we
most humbly beseech You, merciful Father, bid these
offerings be carried by the hands of Your Holy
Angels to Your altar on high before Your divine
majesty so that those of us who, by sharing in the sacrifice
at this altar, shall receive the sacred body and
blood of Your Son, and may be filled with every grace
and heavenly blessing.
We earnestly desire Your fatherly goodness mercifully
to accept this our sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving
through Jesus Christ Our Lord, by whom and
with whom, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all honour
and glory be unto You, Father Almighty, world with-out
end.
R: Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the
world: have mercy upon us. Lamb of God, who
takes away the sins of the world: have mercy
upon us. Lamb of God, who takes away the sins
of the world: grant us Your peace.
P: Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of
the world, happy are those who are called to His supper.
R: Lord Jesus, I believe and confess that You are
truly the Christ, Son of the living God, who came
into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the
chief, and I believe that this is Your pure Body and
Your own precious Blood. Therefore, I pray You
have mercy on me, and forgive my transgressions,
committed both voluntary and involuntary,
in word, thought, and deed, known and unknown,
and grant that I may partake of Your Holy Supper
without condemnation for the remission of my
sins and for life eternal. Amen.
THE COMMUNION - (Intinction)
P: The supper of our Lord is a Sacrament of our
Redemption by Christ’s death and a sign of love that
Christians ought to have among themselves, one to
another. And the means whereby the Body of Christ
is received in the Supper is Faith. With true reverence
of God, faith, and love, all those present who are
baptized Christians and truly accept Jesus Christ as
their Saviour are invited to come forth.
R: Lord accept me today as a communicant. Like
the thief who suffered with You on Calvary, I will
openly acknowledge You. Remember me, Lord, in
Your Kingdom. Not unto judgement nor unto condemnation
be my partaking of these Holy
Elements, O Lord, but unto the healing of my soul
and body. Amen.
(Congregation comes forth to receive Communion)
P: The body and blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, which
was shed for you, may it preserve your soul unto
everlasting life.
R: Lord, I am ready to receive You; only say the word
and I shall be healed.
(After all have been served)
P: Lord, let Your benediction and grace descend upon
all who have received Your holy body and precious
blood.
R: We give You thanks, Holy Father, for Your Holy
Name which You have caused to dwell in our
hearts, and for the knowledge and faith and
immortality which You have made known to us
through Jesus, Your Servant. To You be the glory
forevermore.
You, Almighty Master, did create all things and have
given both food and drink for men to enjoy that we
might give thanks to You; but more than these, You
have graciously given spiritual food and drink, and
life through Your son.
Above all, we thank You because You are mighty
and able to save. To You be the glory forevermore.
Remember, Lord, Your Church, to deliver it from
every evil, and to make it perfect in Your love, and
gather it together from the four winds, even that
which has been sanctified for Your Kingdom
which You have prepared for it, for Yours is the
power and the glory forevermore.
Let Grace come and let this world pass away.
Hosanna to the Son of David. Whoever is holy, let
him come; whoever is not, let him repent. The
Lord has come. Amen.
NOTE: To complete the service of morning and evening prayer the
liturgy is continued here.
THE DISMISSAL
P: Let us depart in peace.
R: In the name of the Lord.
P: Let us pray to the Lord.
R: Almighty and ever-living God, we thank You for
allowing us to receive the body and blood of our
Saviour Jesus Christ, assuring us thereby that we
are truly a member of His Body, the Church, and we
ask You to help us by Your Holy Spirit that we may
continue in this fellowship and do the good works
which You desire us to do; through Christ Jesus,
Your Son, our Lord, to whom with You and the
same Spirit, be all honour and glory, forever and
ever. Amen.
